Airbus trounced its duopolist arch rival Boeing in the 2024 annual order and delivery race.

Both manufacturers continued to have supply-chain bottlenecks limiting the ability to build production rates. But Airbus did not have the additional problem of its regulator breathing down its neck in annoyance (and embarassment) at certification errors.
