Stabilised — February 2023

In the past two years Boeing and Airbus have stabilised their finances. But Boeing reported another net loss for 2022 while Airbus has been profitable for the past two years.

Based on a ramp-up in production rates, detailed in the previous article — 400-450 MAX deliveries and 70-80 787 deliveries for Boeing, and 720 total deliveries for Airbus — they have made some cautiously optimistic sounds about 2023, and outlined targets for returning to sustained profitability.
